Lia- Girls Home
Lia- Girls Home
Lia is an energetic and loving 8-year-old girl who has already endured more than most children her age. She was born in the Ethiopian countryside to a young mother and father who separated when she was just a toddler. Unable to provide the care Lia needed on her own, Lia’s mother sent her to live with her grandmother when she was 5 years old. Tragically, just a year later, her grandmother passed away.
Lia was then sent to live with her father and stepmother, but it was a deeply unsafe environment where she faced rejection and severe abuse. After two painful years, Lia ran away and began surviving on her own in the streets. Eventually, she was found by local police and taken to a government-run orphanage, where she remained until being welcomed into our BeMore Girls Home.
Despite everything she has been through, Lia is incredibly bright, warm-hearted, and full of potential. She is now in a safe and nurturing space where she can rest, learn, and begin to thrive. Please consider sponsoring Lia, allowing her to receive the consistent care, education, and love she deserves as she builds a brighter future.
