Sponsorship
Make a monthly, tax-deductible donation to help specific families in Korah.
GIVE so that another might LIVE! Our sponsorship program provides for a child’s basic needs to be met such as food, shelter, and education. You will feel a connection with your sponsored child through letters and pictures. It will bless your life and soften your heart, and most importantly change the world for a child in need.
Our sponsorship program entails:
Sponsored kids have food distributed each month to them from our on ground partner ministry in Korah. Nutrition is vital to a child’s growth and development and sponsorship ensures that they do not have to go hungry.
We believe that education is the answer to a better future of the children of Korah. Sponsorship allows kids the opportunity to attend school instead of spending their days begging for food on the streets or searching through the trash dump.
Sponsorship helps the community of Korah by empowering kids! It gives them hope for a better future and therefore brings hope to the entire community.
Sponsorship changes lives! We believe that sponsorship not only changes the life of a child in need, but it will change the sponsors life too. Winston Churchill said it best, “we make a living by what we get,we make a life by what we GIVE.”

Off and on for the past 32 years, Mohamed has had this infection and major liver problems because of it as well. Woreka
Woreka has been hired to work at our BeMore Girls Home to help with the new girls that have recently entered our home. She helps cook, clean, and care for the girls on a daily basis. She is incredibly caring and hardworking and the girls love her. Woreka came to Addis Ababa from the Oromia region of Ethiopia just over a year ago. She came due to ongoing conflict in the region that made her life very unstable. She came with virtually nothing and is currently living in a very small, unstable home with limited basic necessities. We are looking for a sponsorship to supplement Woreka's income so that she can better provide for herself and move into secure housing. Please consider sponsoring Woreka and helping us care for her better as she helps us care for the special girls in our BeMore Girls Home.
Ayelech Sugebo
Ayelech is an older mother in Korah who just moved to Addis Ababa to live with her son after surgery on her eyes. Ayelech has been blind for most of her life and had surgery to help improve her vision. The surgery was not completely effective and she will likely have another soon, but because of this she is not able to work or live on her own. She lives with her son Tamiru, who is one of our social workers through Tesfaye's sponsorship program. He and his wife care for Ayelech but with their own family to care for and their own set of struggles living in Korah, they are in need of further assistance for Ayelech. Please consider sponsoring Ayelech and supporting this family that is such an integral part of our sponsorship program!
Betselot
Betselot is a happy 7-year-old girl whose smile lights up every room. Originally from the Ethiopian countryside, she came to Addis Ababa with family members who were seeking a better life in the city. Tragically, she became separated from her mother shortly after arriving, and despite best efforts, they were unable to be successfully reunited.
For a time, Betselot survived alone on the streets until some kind strangers stepped in and helped connect her with local authorities. She was taken to a government-run orphanage where she stayed for several months before being welcomed into our BeMore Girls Home.
Since arriving, Betselot has blossomed. She’s full of laughter, always playing with the other girls, and brings a contagious sense of joy to the home. Please consider supporting Betselot on her new path to the safe, loving, and bright future she deserves!
Nardos
Nardos is a thoughtful and sweet 8-year-old girl who recently joined our BeMore Girls Home. She came from a rural region of Ethiopia marked by deep poverty and widespread hardship. Much of Nardos’ early story remains unclear, both to us and to her. She struggles to remember details about her family and background, and the government-run orphanage where she stayed before joining our home has limited information as well.
What we do know is that Nardos was brought to the city by family members who were unable to care for her, hoping she might find a better life in Addis Ababa. She is a darling girl - calm, witty, and incredibly sweet.
Though much of her past is still uncertain, Nardos now has the chance to build a new future - one filled with stability, love, and opportunity. With the support of a sponsor, she will receive the care, education, and encouragement she needs to thrive and grow into all she is meant to be. Please consider joining us and Nardos on her new journey!
Lia
Lia is an energetic and loving 8-year-old girl who has already endured more than most children her age. She was born in the Ethiopian countryside to a young mother and father who separated when she was just a toddler. Unable to provide the care Lia needed on her own, Lia’s mother sent her to live with her grandmother when she was 5 years old. Tragically, just a year later, her grandmother passed away.
Lia was then sent to live with her father and stepmother, but it was a deeply unsafe environment where she faced rejection and severe abuse. After two painful years, Lia ran away and began surviving on her own in the streets. Eventually, she was found by local police and taken to a government-run orphanage, where she remained until being welcomed into our BeMore Girls Home.
Despite everything she has been through, Lia is incredibly bright, warm-hearted, and full of potential. She is now in a safe and nurturing space where she can rest, learn, and begin to thrive. Please consider sponsoring Lia, allowing her to receive the consistent care, education, and love she deserves as she builds a brighter future.
Bemnet
Bemnet is a bright and resilient 12-year-old girl who recently joined our BeMore Girls Home. She was born to a teenage mother who gave Bemnet to her own mother in hopes of giving her daughter a better life. Bemnet spent her early childhood in the Ethiopian countryside with her grandmother, who loved her dearly but struggled to provide for their basic needs. They rarely had enough food and Bemnet was unable to attend school.
About a year ago, Bemnet’s grandmother made the difficult decision to bring her back to her mother in Addis Ababa, believing the city might offer more opportunities. Unfortunately, Bemnet faced months of hardship and abuse before being helped by a local organization that provided temporary shelter and care. She was later referred to a government-run orphanage, where she spent the next nine months before finally being welcomed into our Girls Home.
Now, with the safety and stability of the BeMore Girls Home, Bemnet is beginning to heal and dream again. She has immediately fit in with the other girls and is always first to help and play with others. With the support of a sponsor, Bemnet will have everything she needs to grow in a safe, nurturing environment. Please consider joining Bemnet on her new journey toward a bright future!
